For the nature lovers among you [mum!], we've encountered lots of wildlife so far. A Kingfisher sat on the telephone wire in front of the house this morning, and a Hedgehog carried on foraging as we passed on our way out for a curry last night [the curry by the way was superb!]. We see a lot of Pukekos (pictured), and watched a Heron fishing in the estuary, but most common are Sparrows and common old Ducks!

So what's this 'common old duck' on the photo Ju? Moorhen New Zealand style or maybe Coot??
Sounds like you are having a fabulous time. I have finished work now for 18 super duper days - a week at home, maybe a bit of decorating then off to Isreal. Petra is going to cost £100 for the daytrip but it has got to be worth it. And Maira and I are hoping to swim in the Dead Sea.
Our forcast is gales and snow!! Brrrr. Mum xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx PS nice photos love the arty shell one
