On Friday we went exploring Aucklan's very own Rainforest park at Whaitakere - stunning scenery and lovely walks.
Then Sunday a charming day at the local historic site - Howick Historical Village - showing the history and conditions of the early European settlers with everyone in period costume. Greg went off fishing this afternoon and ended up rescuing some stranded jet-skiiers, how embarrassing (for them!). End of week treat - fish and chips - but there's no cod or haddock here. Gurnard is the most common and very tasty.
